Richard Schoenfeld brings to the Exemplar table a unique blend of government and management experience with concentrated expertise in the field of architecture, engineering & construction law.  Having honed those skills in both the public and private sectors, he has over sixteen years of service in local government, as legal counsel to municipal Building, Planning and Construction Committees, and on the state level as Executive Director of the Central Artery Oversight Coordination Commission, (working with the offices of the Massachusetts Attorney General, State Auditor and the Inspector General).  As Legal Counsel for the Town of Dedham’s Building Planning and Construction Committee, he was responsible for project administration and technical advice for town-mandated Americans with Disabilities Act Project ($2M) and the Emergency E911.  Additionally, Mr. Schoenfeld was for fourteen years the president of Schoenfeld Associates, a family-owned architecture and engineering firm which specialized in all aspects of production from preliminary design through construction on projects ranging from transportation (highway and bridges) to buildings, waterfront and recreational facilities, and environmental services.

 
His legal services include advising property owners, builders, developers, architects, engineers and surveyors on matters pertaining to property and construction law, contract negotiations and interpretation, and general business.  Licensed also as a real estate broker, Mr. Schoenfeld’s counsel is applicable to landlords, tenants, and property owners.

Mr. Schoenfeld is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has represented clients before the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Department of Capital Planning and Operations (MA), the MBTA, Mass Highway, Massport, and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.
